A SHADED VIEW ON FASHION FILM was held for the first time in St. Petersburg . The festival that launched in 2008 during Paris Fashion Week in 5 years became top fashion industry event. The founder and general producer of the festival, famous fashion critic and pioneer of the Internet journalism Diane Pernet came to St. Petersburg to present the festival herself.

“Fashion Films in Boscofamily” screening was the first ASVOFF St. Petersburg festival event.

That night boutique has turned into private movie theater where designers, journalists and Boscofamily clients saw movies of St. Petersburg directors.

Premier of ASVOFF St. Petersburg festival was on February 16 in Agleterre hotel movie theater.

Fashion industry, cinematography, business professionals and other key figures attended the festival among whose were Great Britain General Consul Gareth Ward, designers Tatiana Pafryonova, Lilia Kiselenko and Stas Lopatkin, director Sergey Debizhev, Svetlana Evstigneeva (Harper's Bazaar), Pavel Vardishvili (InterviewRussia), Yulia Matvienko, Aleksandr Sergeenko and Lidia Metelskaya, head of ELLE St. Peterburg magazine Nadezhda Kozhevnikova, Lika Rostorotckaya and Mihail Badigin (Louis Vuitton), head of Erarta museum Mihail Ovchinnikov, Oksana Zolotuhina (DLT TSUM St. Petersburg) and others. Head of the Modern Art center of Sergey Kurehin, Anastasia Kurehina was the host of the festival.

At Angleterre guests were served by the partner of the festival "Czars" vodka and during the whole night guests had a chance to try on exclusive Van Der Bauwede Geneve jewels. The festival was opened with the program of the Paris ASVOFF-2012 participants that Diane brought to St. Petersburg. Movie direction and unusual perspective of the foreign authors stroke the audience. The second part of the festival consisted of the Russian contest program of 22 films that were montaged by Cinema Emotion.

Diane Pernet chose a winner herself – young St. Petersburg director Aleksand Chajka with his movie «STAIRWAY». As a prize Aleksandr got an opportunity to present his movie on the sixth season of ASVOFF in Paris. Maite Catti's «Je Voudrais» film got a special prize from Van Der Bauwede Geneve.

During the closing after party in Mansarda restaurant Pray for Fashion team was awarded with Audience Choice Award for their «FASHION IS ALWAYS UNCOMFORTABLE» film. Other films that participated in the festival you can watch on our official website.

Q&A with Diane Pernet as the final part of the festival was on February 17 at «Aurora.Nevsky» (St. Petersburg Nevsky prospect, 74) space. Diane told about her creative path and creation of ASVOFF and shared her thoughts on fashion blogging with disegners, buyers and journalists.

From now on ASVOFF St. Petersburg will become an annual cultural and high society event in St. Petersburg.
